In this time of self-isolation and uncertainty,  case has decided to bring forward this year's postcard show, creating a new, online exhibition experience.

How does it work?

5 easy steps:


1. Create a postcard sized artwork in any medium of your choice, inspired by a single line from a song that has meaning for you.

new SQUARE size - this show only:

  • 2D/3D max size: 15 cm x 15 cm x 3 cm

  • animation & video (max 30 secs or 20 MB) 

  • any visual medium accepted eg: drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, animation, embroidery, printmaking, paper, wood, glass, ceramic, metal, plastic, plants, textiles ...

  • max 3 entries per person​

  • 3 categories: Adult, Youth (12-18), Under 12

2. Take a photo of the work in good light​ on either a white or black background, using a mobile phone or camera.​

  • animation & video max file size: 20 MB

3. Label the image/digital file with your name & title, eg: JoBloggs_yougivemefever.jpeg

4. Email the image/digital file to:


Put the following information in the email:​​

  • your name

  • title of the work

  • dimensions of the work

  • medium used 

  • lyric that inspired you (if not the title)

  • name of the lyricist and song the words came from

  • phone number

  • your Instagram handle eg:@c.a.s.e.inc

  • number of entries (max 3 per person)

  • sale price if applicable otherwise NFS

  • optional: add a short statement describing why that lyric inspired you (max 50 words)

  • your age if a youth (12 - 18) or child (under12) entry

  • are you a resident of Tweed, Lismore, Byron or Ballina Shire? Yes or No

5. Your image/s will be uploaded to the case website & added to the 2020 case postcard show online exhibition gallery from the time received until the entry closing date *

  • The online gallery will be open for viewing 24/7 from now to 22nd July​ 2020

  • selected works will also feature on the case social media sites  (click icon to access)

  • Instagram

Important Dates: 

  • start creating - now​

  • entries open - 22nd May 2020

  • entries close - 29th June 2020

  • exhibition closes - 29th July 2020

  • the three most popular adult artworks at the end of the exhibition will win a voucher from

How can I buy/sell an artwork? *

  • interested buyers email case - subject line:​

    • pc purchase: entry number - artist's name

  • case will forward the email to the artist to deal directly with the buyer *

  • When an artist sells a work, email case and we will mark it 'sold' in the gallery - subject line:

    • pc sold_entry number

* Terms and conditions:

  • All entries will be added to the online exhibition gallery unless deemed inappropriate by the case committee.

  • Entries received after 29th June 2020 will not be included.

  • All ages eligible to enter.

  • If an artwork sells, all responsibility for the sale is between the artist and the buyer. case is not responsible for the sale, condition of the work, postage, delivery or payment.

  • People's choice: you may vote for as many artworks as you like, but just once for each one.

  • If an artist has more than one popular work with the most hearts, they will receive one voucher and the artist with the next highest number of hearts will receive the next voucher.

  • Anyone can enter, however in the spirit of supporting local, only residents of Ballina, Byron, Tweed or Lismore Shires are eligible for a people's choice award.

  • The 2020 case postcard show is an online exhibition only.

  • case committee are not eligible to win a people's choice award
