c.a.s.e. inc arts grants 2021
Application information
c.a.s.e is offering ten grants of up to $300 each to provide
artists with assistance towards the cost of attending an art workshop or course.
All applicants, workshops and courses must be based in
the Byron, Lismore, Ballina or Tweed Shires.
This c.a.s.e initiative aims to circulate funds within the local arts community, and encourages applications from artists, both youth and adult, who are currently facing financial challenges.
Applications close:
Sunday 30 May 2021 (by midnight).
No additional material will be considered after this date.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a resident of Byron, Lismore, Ballina or Tweed Shire.

Applicants must be 15 years or older.

Applicants under 18 years must have guardian approval to attend the workshop/course.

Workshops/courses must be based in Byron, Lismore, Ballina or Tweed Shires, online or in person.

c.a.s.e encourages applications from artists who are currently facing financial challenges.
Important Dates

Applications close Sunday 30 May 2021 (by midnight).

Applicants will be notified of committee decisions within four weeks of this deadline.

Arts workshops/courses must be completed within 12 months of the award date.
Judging
-
Proposals will be judged on the quality of the application in respect to how winning the grant and attending the workshop/course will assist you as an artist

The decision of the committee will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Conditions for successful applicants

Funds must be used for the art workshop/course as outlined in the application.

c.a.s.e. inc will pay the grant directly to the workshop provider, up to the value of $300. If a workshop/course costs more, the applicant must cover the shortfall. If less, c.a.s.e. inc will just pay the cost of the course.

Applicants must acknowledge the assistance of c.a.s.e in any relevant promotional material, eg newspaper, radio, social media etc.

Within one month of completing the course, the successful applicants must send c.a.s.e a short report of the experience, to include images and description.
Cancellation/postponement policy:
Successful applicants must notify c.a.s.e. inc if:
-
The workshop/course is cancelled or postponed
-
The applicant cannot attend as planned - a reason must be given.

In the event of a postponement, c.a.s.e. inc will try to reapply the grant to the new date.

In the event of cancellation, c.a.s.e. inc will discuss the possibility of attending an equivalent workshop/course if appropriate.
COVID 19 Policy:
Successful applicants must adhere to all COVID 19 protocols
set by the workshop/course they will attend.

A one page (A4) proposal that consists of:

Your name, address and contact details

Information about your proposed art workshop/course with dates, organisation's name & contact details etc.

A brief outline of the project’s benefits to your art practice.

A short description of what art you are interested in producing and/or your art cv.
Also attach three jpeg files with examples of your work:

Label each image file: Applicant's name_Title of Artwork_year.jpg
