contemporary art space & education (c.a.s.e. inc) and Byron School of Art (BS'A) are delighted to welcome: Jay-Dea Lopez - sound, listening and the experience of place
Jay-Dea Lopez is a local field recordist and sound artist whose work has appeared in national and international galleries and sound festivals. He has produced numerous works for radio including a series for Radio National titled The Colour of Sound. Jay-Dea's talk will focus on the relation between sound and image, and the ways in which the acoustic environment affects our experience of place. His latest audio-visual work "Eesti" (Estonia) is currently showing at Lismore Regional Gallery.
